Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work

3 days – Classroom based

The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work meets The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 in respect of First Aid at Work and is aimed at individuals who intend to develop and gain formal recognition of their knowledge, understanding and skills of first aid at work. The course duration is 3 days and the qualification is applicable to those who work or intend to work for a range of organisations, as all employers are required by law to offer First Aid provision to their employees. By completing the two mandatory units, all learners will cover the essentials of First Aid, including roles and responsibilities, incident assessment and managing and administering First Aid to casualties in a variety of situations. These situations could relate to breathing, chocking, bleeding, shock, minor injuries, burns, scalds, poisoning, illness and anaphylaxis. This qualification will meet the requirements for the Close Protection Top Up Course.

First Person on Scene (FPOSi) Intermediate

The First Person on Scene (International) course (FPOSi) is the latest of a suite of courses designed to meet the Pre-hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) skills framework 

This course sits between the First Aid at Work qualification & the QNUK Level 3 Award for First Responders (RQF) course. While the qualification has been developed for Close Protection Operatives working in the UK and abroad, the knowledge and skills it develops are also ideal for Cabin Crew, Industrial First Aiders and those working in remote areas. You will gain the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to be able to deal with a wide range of pre-hospital care emergencies, such as: manual handling of patients, managing a patient’s airway, catastrophic bleeding, management of fractures, medical emergencies and many more.

  • Sufficient English speaking and literacy skills

  • Good numeracy skills

  • Proof of ID & residency

Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work

1 day – Classroom based

The Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work meets The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 in respect of First Aid at Work and is aimed at individuals who intend to develop and gain formal recognition of their knowledge, understanding and skills of first aid at work. The course duration is 1 day and the qualification is applicable to those who work or intend to work for a range of organisations, as all employers are required by law to have First Aid provision for their employees. By completing the single mandatory unit, all learners will cover the essentials of First Aid, including roles and responsibilities, incident assessment and managing and administering First Aid to casualties in a variety of situations. These situations could relate to breathing, chocking, bleeding, shock and minor injuries. And is suitable qualification to meet the Door Supervisor top up course.
